Requirements

  • Prior kitchen experience, ideally as a Commis Chef or similar.

  • Basic culinary training or equivalent experience.

  • Strong interest in learning and developing culinary skills.

  • Good knife skills and understanding of kitchen equipment.

  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a team.

  • Attention to detail and commitment to high standards.

  • Knowledge of basic food safety and hygiene procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes in your section.

  • Support the Chef de Partie with daily kitchen operations.

  • Ensure all food produced is of high quality and meets the restaurant’s standards.

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of your workstation.

  • Follow food safety and hygiene standards at all times.

  • Help with stock rotation, inventory checks, and proper storage of ingredients.

  • Communicate effectively with the team to ensure smooth service.

  • Learn and adapt recipes, plating, and presentation styles.

  • Contribute to the training and development of junior kitchen staff.
