Requirements

  • Previous experience in a customer service or front-of-house role (preferred).

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.

  • Polished appearance and professional demeanor.

  • Ability to stay calm and courteous under pressure.

  • Basic computer skills; familiarity with reservation systems is a plus.

  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus (especially for hotels/cruise lines).

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly and professionally upon arrival.

  • Escort guests to their tables and provide menus.

  • Manage the reservation system and walk-in traffic efficiently to minimize wait times.

  • Answer phone calls, take reservations, and provide information about the venue.

  • Coordinate with waitstaff and kitchen teams to ensure smooth guest flow and seating.

  • Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism, escalating issues when necessary.

  • Maintain a clean and organized reception/host station.

  • Keep track of guest preferences and VIP arrivals when applicable.

  • Assist in managing guest feedback and service recovery initiatives.

  • Promote special events, menus, or offers to guests.
